The compact air purifier is easy to use and maintain. When you work at home, you can place it on the table or next to the sofa in the living room while sleeping. The air purifier should be located where you spend most of its time.
The Levoit Core 300 is a cylindrical-shaped air purifier with a 360-degree air inlet and a three-in-one filter. This quiet air purifier does not emit ozone, has a Smoke CADR of 141 CFM and can clean a room of 210 square ft five times an hour.
Levoit Core 300 Design
The Levoit Core 300 HEPA air purifier, like many other True HEPA filters, has a cylindrical design. This case is made of ABS plastic with matte finish that is easy to keep clean. This filter is available in black or white, so it can be suitable for almost any decorative design. At 8.7 inches in diameter, it takes up little space and can be placed anywhere in the house. It is only 14.2 inches tall and can even be placed on a kitchen counter under a low hanging cabinet.
The bottom half of the device is equipped with a filter. It is perforated from the outside and has a simple grid that allows a lot of air to pass through. Because it can inhale air from 360 degrees, it works best when all four sides are unobstructed. If it is placed in front of the wall, you will notice a decrease in performance.
The Levoit Core 300 Filters
This Levoit Core 300 uses three stages of filtration for the best performance, including:
- Pre-filter –Used to absorb large particles such as dust, dirt and hair. It also helps extend the life of the other two internal filters.
- True HEPA Filter –It can absorb 99.97% of small pollutants to 0.3 microns and particulate matter (PM) air pollution down to 2.5 microns. This filter is the most powerful type for removing the widest indoor pollutants.
- Activated Carbon Filter –Removes volatile organic compounds (chemical gases) from the air and reduces odors from cooking, smoke, pets, detergents, paints, etc. If you want to have a house with less toxic gases in the air and fresh smell, this filter is a must.
Levoit Core 300 Room Coverage
The Levoit Core 300 with advanced cyclone technology is expected to have better fan power than its predecessors. Also, for the first time, the company did not offer such as large room coverage as one point of sale. Instead, they only recommend the Levoit Core 300 in a 21-square-foot room, which is clearly not a big room.
The ACH of Levoit Core 300 is 5X. The new technology proves the power of the fan. The Levoit Core 300 can exchange the air every 12 minutes, which is the best ACH level of all Levoit models.
Although the recommended room area is smaller than the LV-PUR131, in fact, the Levoit Core 300 has the same high fan power of the console air purifier, and since it is the first to be verified by AHAM, its performance can be fully trusted.
Levoit Core 300 Sound
Surprisingly, with better fan power, the Levoit Core 300 AC capacitor motor does not make much noise. Of course, it is not as good as the modern DC motor, but the 24 dB sound level is really impressive. At its lowest setting, you can hear no sound from this air purifier.
Levoit refers to this silent operation as Bionic Damping technology, which is applied to withstand the ambient vibrations of mechanical fan, thereby reducing noise levels. This technology is available in many products and it is really great. The maximum measured volume of the Levoit Core 300 is only 50 decibels (db), which is the same as the volume of a 100 feet air conditioner.
Is the Levoit Core 300 a Good Value?
In terms of price, I can say that the Levoit Core 300 is well worth the money. It is intuitive, easy to use and has multiple modes as well as sleep and timer functions.
The only thing it really lacks is an auto mode or built-in air quality sensor. However, given what has been said, the price is lower than most purifiers with this feature.
If you’re looking for a great deal, the Levoit Core 300 air purifier will be a good choice.
