Medify MA-22 Air Purifier Review

Is the Medify air purifier worth the money? Having an air purifier at home has many benefits, such as improving air quality and reducing airborne infections that make the whole family feel better. We want to clarify exactly what you can expect. Here is the Medify MA-22 Air Purifier Review for you.

Medify MA-22 Air Purification

The Medify MA-22 air purifier has two on-board filters for air purification. This allows you to clean rooms up to 660 square feet. The combination air filter has three different layers: pre-filter, HEPA H13 filter and activated carbon.

Pre-filter is a broad physical mesh that offers two main functions. First remove large contaminants such as dust, hair, fur and others from the room circulation. Second, it ensures that these large pollutants are no longer transmitted to air purifiers that can clog HEPA and carbon filters.

H13 HEPA Filter

The next air purification layer after the pre-filter is the H13 HEPA filter. HEPA stands for high efficiency particulate air delivery. HEPA is not just an acronym but also an internationally agreed standard of air filtration.

The next layer of air purifier is HEPA H13 filter. HEPA stands for highly efficiency particulate air delivery. HEPA is not just an acronym, but an agreed international standard for air filters. The HEPA H13 filtration standard requires that the filter should be able to remove 99.95% of particles with a size of 0.3 microns.

Activated Carbon Filter

The last layer of air purifier in the Medify MA-22 is the activated carbon layer. This layer eliminates odors, gases and other volatile organic compounds in the air. Pre-filters and HEPA H13 filter purify particulate pollutants, but are not useful against gaseous pollutants. Therefore, it is essential to use the activated carbon filter in the air purifier you intend to purchase.

VOCs are gaseous pollutants from two sources. One of the burning fuels like cigarette smoke, kitchen smoke, car pollution and forest fires. Another cause is the evaporation of chemicals with low evaporation points. Chemicals such as paints, varnishes, household cleaners and detergents are examples of VOCs in this category.

Medify MA-25 activated carbon filter is the last layer of air purifier before clean air returns to the room. The activated carbon layer is not washable, or cleaned by vacuum cleaner. The whole combination filter must be replaced after 2000 hours of use.

Medify MA-22 Noise

With a relatively low power fan, the Medify MA-22 has a noise level of 35 decibels (db) at lowest speed, which I think is just a noise level in library mode. At maximum speed, the noise level reaches only 53 decibels. This is much better than many air purifiers with the same fan power, such as the Levoit LV-PUR13.

Medify MA-22 Room Coverage

The Medify MA-22 exchange once in an hour, it can cover 660 square feet of space.
